CORKTOWN MUSIC FESTIVAL (CMF) is quickly growing into one of the area premier and most endearing annual music events and looking again to draw a large audience of music lovers. Taking place during over the day of Saturday July 23, 2011 in Roosevelt Park, located in front of the infamous Michigan Central Station; the festival is design to attract many visitors and press as well as locals from area neighborhoods to enjoy. The festival is a free event that relies on hard working volunteers and wonderful community sponsorships, independently financed by said businesses and groups. After obtaining a permit through the City of Detroit to have the festival, CMF is looking for both local and corporate sponsors to help make CORKTOWN MUSIC FESTIVAL 2011 the best one yet.

Mission: The objective of the CORKTOWN MUSIC FESTIVAL is to bring together Detroit and the metro Detroit area by offering them a free day of music, dance, art, food, and fun in Roosevelt Park. CMF staff is diligently planning this year event to incorporate a wide array of musical genres and fun activities for all to enjoy. Understanding to Detroit's plight, the festival is dedicated to remaining free and open to the public.

Sponsorship Benefits
For information on the primary benefits of each sponsorship level please note the follow breakdown under Level of Local Sponsorship. In addition, CMF will offer volunteers to promote your product for sponsoring our event. For example, if you have coupons or giveaways, CMF volunteers will pass them out to the attendees, or you may provide your own volunteers.

Target Market

Corktown is known for offering a variety of entertainment to a wide range of people. In past festivals, CMF have featured headlining acts representing a variety of musical genres and styles, including Celtic, Folk, Soul, Funk, Detroit Techno, House, Disco, Dirty Electro, Spoken Word, Hip Hop, Freestyle, Doll Face, Mixmatch, Jazz, Reggatone, Music for Film, Rock, Indie, etc. We also have featured belly dancers, martial artists, political protests, visual artists and theatrical performers. CMF is making available a children tent were youth can create art & crafts, have they face painted or even have caricature artists draw them. Music is still the main objective of the festival though with additional activities to not over shadow the main stages performances. The park is welcome for all to enjoy.
